Every student at ITM IDM must complete a 4-month internship and a summer break live project, which offer invaluable hands-on experience. GLOBAL PARTNERSHIPS YOUR GATEWAY TO STUDY, WORK, AND SETTLE ABROAD
We have collaborated with three of the world's most renowned design institutions to support your international ambitions. The B.Des programs offered by ITM IDM are aligned with similar programs at these institutions. This allows students to transfer the academic credits they earned during the first two years of the B.Des program and seamlessly complete their studies at the collaborating institution, obtaining a full degree and post-study work permits.
This Academic Pathway is designed for students who aspire to graduate, work, and settle in Canada or the UK.
Here’s How It Works:
- Students become eligible for transfer upon completing Year 2 of the ITM IDM B.Des program. Depending on their academic performance, some or all of the credits they earned are transferable. These students will join the program's third year and can graduate within 18-24 months.
- Choosing this option opens doors to international opportunities and results in significant cost savings. The fees for the first two years at ITM IDM are per the normal INR Fee Schedule, leading to an approximate cost savings of INR 30 lakhs per year.
- After graduation, students qualify for a 2-3 year Post-Study Work Visa and receive job placement support from the institution. They can also apply for a Permanent Residency (PR) or a visa extension.

LaSalle College, Vancouver, Canada, is a boutique design school that offers applied arts programs to help graduates build rewarding careers. With over 30 programs, the institution provides a creative environment and close links with the industry in Canada and worldwide. LaSalle College Vancouver offers small classes and an advanced facility with instruction from leading experts. The college provides bachelor’s degrees, diplomas, and certificates and has been consistently named the top undergraduate school in Canada for video game design by the Princeton Review.
LaSalle College in Vancouver, Canada, and ITM Institute of Design & Media have partnered to facilitate a smooth transition for students pursuing B.Des degrees in Visual Communication, Interior Design, and Fashion Design between the two institutions. This collaboration opens up enhanced educational experiences, internship opportunities, and potential career pathways, including the possibility of permanent residency for eligible students.
Manchester Metropolitan University, UK, is one of the largest universities in the UK, with over 34,000 students from more than 130 countries. The university is ranked among the world’s top 200 universities, and its School of Architecture is ranked 3rd in the UK and 11th globally. The university has a triple-accredited Business School and provides students with regular employability events, industry networking, and links with global companies like Nike, Walt Disney, Microsoft, and IBM.
ITM IDM and Manchester Metropolitan University, UK, have partnered to allow B.Des Visual Communication, Interior Design, Fashion Design, and Animation and VFX students to transfer to MMU in their third year and earn a Bachelor of Arts degree. Alternatively, students can opt for an International Top-Up Degree after completing three years at ITM IDM.

ITM IDM and Sheffield Hallam University, Sheffield, have partnered to allow B.Des Visual Communication and Fashion Design students to transfer to Sheffield Hallam University in their third year.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP MODULE
The four years at ITM IDM also prepare the students to start their venture. We have a mentorship program and an entrepreneurship course, where students are expected to develop an idea for a new venture and work on a robust business plan, including a go-to-market strategy. This plan is presented to a formal jury, where it is assessed, and rigorous feedback is given to the students.
