1.     International Conference on “Techno Management Trends”

ICTMT-2019 organised by ITM Business School, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai and Corporate Gurukul, Singapore to offer a platform to business leaders to present their views on a blend of technology and management trends in the industry. As a part of the event, the Conference was held on 15 of February 2019 and Summit on 22 February 2019.

ITM’s ICTMT was organized into two phases- Phase I included a Winter Carnival and a Paper Presenting Conference in the premises of ITM Business School, Kharghar.

Phase II was ITM’s ICTMT Summit on 22nd February at The St. Regis, Lower Parel. it was time for most awaited part of a summit, the panel discussion on “Techno Management Trends.” The delegates in the panel were Mr Amol Dethe, Editor, Finbizness, Mr Sanjay Yashroy, Managing partner at Maitreyi Capital Advisors, Ms Deepa Naik, Co-founder, Cogitari, Founder Member and Indian Head at Human for Artificial Intelligence, Mr Rajesh Gopal, India Head, Corporate Gurukul. The content that was discussed by the panel captured everything that is happening in the world at large, no matter if it were the start-ups that are working for the rural development or technologies like nanotechnology.

The afternoon session started with Fintech Panel discussion. The panellists were Mr Vijay Chand, Country Director of Taxsutra, Mr Sivaram Maganty, Co-Founder of Finwisely Fintech Services, Mr Mohan Ramaswamy, Co-founder and CEO at Rubix Data Sciences Private Ltd, Mr Hemal Kotecha, Group Executive VP for Digital Payments and Mobility at Yes Bank. The panel members discussed about data, changing nature of banking services and its impact on customers experience and  finally discussion was held on the open banking and how it is going to shape in future.

1.     Panel Discussion on Industry 4.0

Department of Operations & SCM of ITM Business Schoo, Kharghar organised a panel discussion on the "Industry- 4.0, Way Forward" on Saturday, 19th of January'2019 in the afternoon. “Industry 4.0 is about the fourth Industrial Revolution, where your shop floor has machines sensing, adjusting processes and communicating with one another every step of manufacturing,” says Brad Kinsey, professor and chair of the mechanical engineering department, University of New Hampshire (UNH, 2018). The esteem pane members were Mr Kishore Pradhan, CEO, Global Trade Consultancy Services, Mr Shubham Mishra, MD, Brio Pharma Technologies P Ltd, Mr Rajgopalan Purushothaman, Sr VP (L&D) Reliance Industries Ltd, Mr Surendra Deodhar, VP Materials Management, Reliance Life Sciences, and Dr Jyotirmoy Dasgupta, Professor ITM Business School.

1.     April Cool Day -ITM Kharghar

The celebration of 1st April 2019 was unique at ITH Business School, Navi Mumbai Kharghar. It was a day for Tree Plantation Drive in partnership with Green Souls, an NGO involved in learning and teaching sustainable practices like Urban organic farming and kitchen gardening.

Faculty members participated in the drive and volunteered to plant the saplings at St. Judes Centre, located at Tata Hospital, Kharghar. St. Jude Center provides shelter to Cancer Children and their families to support them during their treatment. The tree plantation drive was carried out as our small contribution to the society in maintaining the balance of the eco-system. The heartfelt gratitude to Green Souls for providing the space as well as the saplings for the celebration of April Cool Day.

1.     ITM Skills Academy

ITM Skills Academy in association with Hinduja Housing Finance launched its 1st batch of Post Graduate Program in Financial Services (PGPFS) at Navi Mumbai campus.

The launch event was attended by Sri. Sachin Pillai, Managing Director, Sri. Solomon Kiran, Head- HR from Hinduja Housing Finance

The candidates of the program will go through 1 year of training which is a mix of Classroom training & On the Job training and after completion of the program, students will be absorbed in HHF in Sales, Credit profiles.

1.     A Symposium on“Professional Excellence through Self Discovery”

The Human Resource Department of ITM Kharghar in association with ISTD Navi Mumbai Chapter organised a symposium on “Professional Excellence through Self Discovery “on 15th December 2018.

Prof. R S S Mani- VP Institutional Development, ITM Group of institutions gave the perspective of institutions role in shaping the personality of the students and providing a platform for excellence. Ms Jayshree Katkar- Chairperson ISTD Navi Mumbai Chapter also addressed and shared great insights with the students on the importance of career planning & skill development who are soon going to enter the corporate world. The program proceeded with a Panel Discussion on “Career Opportunities in Dynamic Times”. The objective of the discussion was to make the students aware of Self-discovery through SWOT analysis, the importance of working on one’s strength to overcome the weaknesses. The discussion also included non-traditional career opportunities available and how students can explore them, finding time to do something that one likes and making value addition to it. The distinguished guest speakers for the symposium were: Ms Hashwin Chawla – Assistant Manager (Human Resources Business Process) at Wipro, Mr Harish Gupta – Head Commercial Joint President at M/S Prism cement, Mr Rajmani Pandey– Vice President at Reliance Jio, Mrs Manjeet Dhillon – Sr. V.P and Head HR at Kotak Securities, Mr Rohit Vallaspalli– Business HR manager at Abbott Healthcare. The symposium witnessed 146 graduate and post-graduate students from various prestigious colleges in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.

1.     Great Ind - IHM Owshiwara in Culinary Challenge

IHM Oshiwara participated in the "Great Indian Culinary Challenge" organised by Western India Culinary Association (WICA) at MMRDA Grounds BKC. Overall 22 teams participated.

Our two student teams won the *Silver medal* for *Saoji cuisine* (Nagpur) & *Bronze medal* for *Bastar* (Tribal cuisine from Chhattisgarh). Some pictures from the ongoing event.

7. Retail Lab “SAM’s KART” – ITM Kharghar

RMM department inaugurated the Retail Lab ‘Sam’s Kart’ on 5th Dec at ITM Kharghar campus. The Lab was inaugurated by Mr Purshottam, Senior VP – Learning & Development, Reliance Industries. The chief guest spoke about the future strategic plans for Reliance Retail. He discussed how e-commerce companies such as Flipkart and Walmart are re-invigorating Technology and how they have partnered with Grey-orange Robotics Pvt. Ltd. and have automated more than 50 fulfilment centres. The future of Retail is very bright and India has been ranked as the second most attractive retail destination in the world.

8.     Business Chaupal

At ITM Business School, Kahaghar,  ‘Business Chaupal’ – the eighth edition is a sales simulation activity for the PGDM Marketing students wherein 400 students participated from Dec.2018 to Jan.2019. This year students have launched a fully operational E-commerce portal: www.businesschaupal.com to learn online sales. The activity has enabled our students to appreciate the various tasks required from the moment of procurement to final dispatch of a product both - online and offline
