GUEST LECTURE REPORT ON “Ethics & Sustainability”


Guest lectures provide a fresh perspective for the class. Guest speakers are like a blessing for the students, when addressed by the industry leaders. Having guest speakers, enhances the educational experience of the students It is a great way for the students to get industry exposure as guest speakers to talk about their real-life experiences and not merely bookish knowledge. 

A guest lecture was organized by the operations & supply chain management & digital marketing and transformation departments on the 14th of September 2020. A generic topic on ‘Ethics and sustainability’ was decided to instill a real-world perspective in the minds of the students. 

Guest Profile: 

Mr. Arvind Bodhankar is a core Sustainability professional with 27+ years of experience. Besides Sustainability Arvind has also double hatted functions like Business Continuity Management, HR, Business Excellence, Projects, etc. He previously worked in Cadbury as Associate Vice President and  in Tata Motors as Corporate Head. Now He is working as Joint Executive President & Chief Sustainability Officer at UltraTech Cement. By education, Arvind is an Environmental Engineer with Post graduation in Industrial safety and an MBA in Marketing. He is also a certified director from Institute of Directors. He is very active in Sustainability & Safety forums and is on the governing council/advisory board of various organizations like The American Society of Safety Engineers, Confederation of India Industry (CII), Global HSE & Sustainability Forum. In the capacity of subject matter expert, He is invited as a guest speaker by various institutions like IIT, NITIE, IIM, NMMIS, Symbiosis, YCMOU, etc.
