Students of PGDM-FM 2019-21 Batch from ITM B-School, visited RBI Monetary Museum, Reserve Bank of India on 22nd January 2020 at Fort, Mumbai Office. The unique museum is divided into six sections which exhibits concepts of money, monetary systems of India, different types of bank & other securities, history of paper money, modern money & securities. The last section displays the history of RBI, its role and chronology of its Governors.
Dr. Radhakrishnan, curator of the Museum, briefed students of the evolution of printed currency and coins in India through an informative AV. He also answered student’s questions related to the digitalisation of payments.
Students enjoyed the visit as they got a fascinating insight into the world of money through artefacts & exhibits of currency notes & rare coins.
Students were accompanied by Prof. Krupesh Thakkar, Prof. Seemita Bose Chowdhury and Prof. Vimmy Arora.
