  • Creating the project charter, milestones, roadmap for the hackathon problem.

Objectives of Hackathon

The objectives of the Hackathon was to step by step progress by setting the small goals like milestone, a long term goal which is called Roadmap and the step by step approach to find a solution and distributing the objective among the team. It is increasingly hard to distinguish legitimate news from fake news, especially at such a time as this when ‘forwarding’ messages to masses of people is as easy as the click of a button from the comfort of our mobile devices. Put together a 5-day hackathon with a goal of showcasing how technology can be used for good in fighting fake news.

What are milestones?

Milestones are tactical steps that must be accomplished in order to go from point A to point B. They are flexible stages that help guide a team on what to do and when to do it, but can evolve along the way based on new learnings, limitations etc. The students were divided into 4 groups so as to design a creative and simple way to approach a give problem

What is a roadmap?

It is a graphical, high level overview of the project's deliverables presented on a timeline. It is simple free of minute details. It is usually a picture of an overall strategy, for the entire company.
