Business Chaupal 9.0-Offline Christmas Carnival-24th Dec 2019(Kharghar)

Business Chawpal is an annual student driven even catered to sharpen our marketing students by giving them real time experience of selling to the typical “Indian” customer. This year the offline event was held strategically on Christmas Eve.

We had stalls set up by the students across all marketing batches at 10 different prime locations in Kharghar. All the stalls were beautifully decorated in way that is inviting to the people who walk by or for our students - the potential customers.

We began our journey to visit every stall where the enthusiastic students of ITM are engaging with customer and are learning to evolve their selling techniques to make the sale. The below is a brief tour of our journey across all 10 locations:

Marketing 1:

⦁ Locations of the stalls: Central Park, Shilp Chowk, Hiranandani, ITM Hostel

⦁ Products: Soft toys, Plush pillows, pretty canes. (The Pikachu toy just calls the customer over!)

⦁ Locations of the stalls: Hiranandani, Little World, Sec 4- Near YMT, Hens Fort

⦁ Products: Apparel, jewellery, Christmas caps, Sippers, NGO Products, stationery, bags and wallets.

The zeal and performance of our students were unparallel. You could spot our students from afar, happy faces with Santa caps inviting the customers over to buy their little trinkets of joy. The stalls were decorated with red balloons and sparkles, stockings and mistletoe, it certainly couldn’t get jollier and more festive! As if the decorated stalls were not enough, the students also sang and played music to generate an interest in the minds of the customers. The students lined up their products in such a way that they had something for everyone. The passion and hunger to sell was visible in the eyes and actions of every student. To say that they have learnt basic selling skills would be an understatement.

Below are the results of the sales batch wise:

This was indeed a very merry Christmas for the marketing students of ITM Business School, Navi Mumbai.
