Mumbai Youth Conclave 2019

On a beautiful Saturday morning (December 6, 2019), the Confederation of Indian Industry – Young Indians (CII-YI) organised the Mumbai Youth Conclave at ITM Business School, Kharghar. This event, co-sponsored by Ethigro, was open to students from various colleges and members of CII-YI.

The event was presided over by Dr. Veni Nair, the Assistant Director of ITM Business School. Six highly esteemed members of the CII-YI – Dr. Rahul Mirchandani, Mr. Vivin Mathew, Mr. Farzan Ghadially, Mr. Raghav Kumar Bajaj, Mr. Faisal Farooqui and Mr. Sunil Saitwal — were invited to speak to and enlighten the students through various sessions. They were accompanied by Mr. Saif Ali Khan (YI Secretariat) and Mr. Amol Mirchandani (Head of Business Development at Ethigro).

Dr. Rahul Mirchandani (MD, Agro Aries Ltd and past Chairman of Young Indians) and Mr. Vivin Mathew (Director, IRASA Group and Chairman, Young Indians) opened the session by shedding light on the objectives and activities of the CII-YI and explained in brief the various activities of the day.

The rest of the day saw the participants refining and enriching their minds by attending Masterclasses on ‘Financial Literacy’ and ‘Future of Technology’, Huddle sessions on ‘Future of Relationships’ and ‘Future of Work’, and mock Boardroom sessions on ‘Infosys Governance’ and ‘CCD Crisis’.

This was followed by an Unwind session conducted by Mr. Sunil Saitwal, which saw the participants learn how to enhance their mental capabilities and recognise the genius within themselves.

Participants who performed exceptionally well in the various sessions were recognised and awarded, as were the volunteers from and the social media team of ITM Business School.As the afternoon came to a close, Tinkering Minds was launched. This book is an anthology of the journey and struggles of nine entrepreneurs, blessed with the invaluable contribution of ITM faculty members such as Dr. Veni Nair, Prof. Vandana Tripathi, Prof. Rachna Nigam, Prof. Arpita Pandey and Prof. Rachana Mane.

The Mumbai Youth Conclave was a roaring success, as everyone who participated in the event left with their minds enriched and a smile on their visage.
