A BRIEF REPORT ON OMNI-CHANNEL RETAILING

Our guest Mr. Vivek Dubey is an alumnus of ITM Business School, Kharghar. He is a Brand, Product and Business Manager at Jumbo Electronics Co. Ltd. (Dubai).

He started his professional career with a humble beginning as Sales coordinator in 2009 with Videocon Group. After spending half a decade with MNC’s like ‘Eureka Forbes’, ‘Accenture Services’ at Marketing & Digital Project management portfolios in India, he got an opportunity to join a UAE based conglomerate ‘Better Life Appliances of ESAG Group’ in 2014 as Brand & Marketing Manager. At present he is with ‘Jumbo Electronics’ (one of the largest Retail Giants) as Brand Manager, based in Dubai.

He has spent more than a decade working with Retail Giants, managing end to end operations for multiproduct portfolio for consumer brands (Sony, Siemens, Forbes), Premium Brands (Swizz Laurastar, Italian SMEG), Gaming (PlayStation, Thrust master) in Consumer Electronics, Home Appliances Retail segment. He has also nurtured many Private label brands in UAE from the scratch to a self-sustaining status for Middle East market.

Under the guidance of Dr. Shelja Jose, he has co-authored a research paper on Consumer behaviour subject with the title “Role of Store in Retail Environment”.He is adept in Omni channel operations & Brand strategy who is always eager to learn from any age group & follows a Mantra for life that "God lies in Details".

Many students as well as our respected professors joined in the workshop. Students across various specializations such as Operations and Supply chain Management (OM&SCM), Retail Marketing and Management (RMM), and Digital Marketing Transformations (DMT) including the seniors as well as juniors participated.

ABOUT THE TOPIC:

Omnichannel is the idea of using all of your channels to create one, unified experience for your customers. This includes both traditional and digital channels, point-of-sale, in-store, and online experiences. Omnichannel marketing creates a seamless message that adjusts to your customer based on their behaviour through your sales funnel, providing the ultimate personalized customer experience. Omnichannel marketing is using digital and/or traditional marketing channels to send a relevant message to a brand’s customers regardless of the customer engaging with the brand, nor the channels used to engage.
