Program Structure

Term 1

During the first term the students will be given 4-months of  residential training at ITM Campus. This term focuses on foundational knowledge and skills development within a classroom setting.

In this term, the candidates will receive a stipend of ₹ 5000 per month* from Kotak Bank Branch (Branches).

Term 2

Following the residential training, candidates will undergo two months of On-the-Job Training (OJT) at various Kotak Bank Branch (Branches) locations. During this phase, candidates will be responsible for arranging their logistics and stay as they gain practical experience in real-world work environment.

Kotak Bank Branch (Branches) will pay each candidate a monthly internship stipend of ₹ 25,000 during this term.

Term 3

The final phase of the course involves a 6-month internship at Kotak Bank Branch (Branches) locations. Similar to the OJT phase, candidates are required to manage their logistics and stay arrangements independently.

During this period, the candidates will receive an internship stipend of ₹ 25,000 per month* from Kotak Bank Branch (Branches).

  • Must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university
  • Must have a minimum score of 60% in graduation for B.Sc/B.E/B.Tech
  • Must have a minimum score of 50% in graduation for all other specializations
  • Must not be older than 27 years on the date of application

Roles and Responsibilities

1.Develops new and expands existing High Net Worth Customer relationships for liabilities by sourcing customers

2.Sources new bank customers through external individual efforts and acquisition channels

3.Cross-sells bank products to existing set of branch customers which are mapped

4. Informs customers of new products or product enhancements to further expand the banking relationship

5. Plans and conducts special sales initiatives and events for prospective and existing clients

6. Coordinates with other group companies to provide seamless access to other products

7. Maintains complete relationship records for assigned customer accounts

8. Tracks customer complaints/queries and turnaround times for customer satisfaction

  • 1. The Programme has a wholesome curriculum comprising of classroom learnings, leadership sessions, e-learning, Internship and On-the-Job training.
  • 2. The course structure includes sessions on core banking, specialized areas in banking, sales, general management, etiquette, grooming, personal presentation and language.
  • 3. The classroom sessions (04 months) will be conducted at the ITM campuses and On the Job Training OJT (02 months) + Internship (06 month) will take place at any of the Kotak Mahindra Bank branches/offices across India.
  • 4. The candidates are paid stipend during their 04-month duration of the Classroom Programme and a stipend during the 08 months’ Internship and OJT period.
  • 5. On successful completion of the Programme, the NextGen Bankers will be joining Kotak Mahindra Bank as Deputy Manager.

All candidates who successfully complete the Kotak NextGen Bankers Programme will join Kotak Mahindra Bank as Deputy Manager.

The overall programme duration is 12 months. It is broken down into 3 stages as follows:
  • Stage 1: 4 Months Residential classroom programme
  • Stage 2: 2 Months On the Job Training with Kotak Mahindra Bank
  • Stage 3: 6 Months Internship with Kotak Mahindra Bank

Candidates need to ensure eligibility conditions as follows:
  • 1. Candidates shall have a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university

The Programme is fully residential during the first 4-months Classroom Programme. Hostel accommodation is provided to all students by ITM. The course fee is inclusive of all boarding and lodging costs at ITM campus. Candidates will move to their respective branch location that is assigned to them for their OJT (Stage 2) and Internship (Stage 3).

Travel expense from campus to the branch/office location for OJT and Internship shall be reimbursed basis applicable HR policies of Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.

The medium of study will be English.

The Program shall be conducted on the ITM campus. The first 04-months of the program is of a fully residential classroom programme. In the next 8 months, NextGen Bankers will undertake 02 months On the Job Training (OJT) and 06 months Internship. During the OJT and Internship, NextGen Bankers will be based at any of the Kotak Mahindra Bank Branches/Offices across the country. OJT and Internship placements are at the sole discretion of the bank.

The classes will be held 5 days a week. On Saturdays, there would be Field visits, Leadership connects, branch visits etc.

Leave would be given only with the specific permission of the Head of Programme at ITM campus and Programme Coordinator or Kotak Mahindra Bank HR Department. The same will be allowed at the sole discretion of Kotak Mahindra Bank.

The certificate will be issued on the successful completion of the Programme which means that the candidate needs to:
  • 1. Successfully complete the 4-Month classroom programme
  • 2. Fulfil other academic requirements as specified in the curriculum. These will include practical training, work visits, seminars, project submissions etc.
  • 3. Successfully complete the 02 months of OJT.
  • 4. Satisfactory performance during Internship.

The bank shall partially reimburse the fee of the candidates up to INR 1.5 lakh as below:
  • 1. INR 75,000 paid on completion of 24 months
  • 2. INR 75,000 paid on completion of 36 months

Kotak Mahindra Bank will not provide a job to candidates who do not complete the Program. Also Fees paid for the course or any other expenses incurred with regards to the Programme, has been paid to ITM and Kotak Mahindra Bank shall not be responsible for the same. Kotak Mahindra Bank will not be liable to provide employment to unsuccessful candidates.

All the candidates selected for Kotak NextGen Bankers Programme will be issued a Provisional Appointment Letter at the time of joining the course at ITM campus . A guaranteed job opportunity will be offered on the successful completion of the program. (04 months Classroom + 02 months OJT + 06 months Internship).

Kotak NextGen Bankers may be posted at any branch/office of Kotak Mahindra Bank across India. While preference of candidates may be asked, there is no guarantee that the same will be provided at the time of posting. Posting shall be on the basis of available vacancies across India.

Candidates will be provided with relevant contacts of banks in order to procure the loans for funding the programme.

Yes, candidates may self-fund their programme without availing to any loan facility.
